Rarity Miner Wiki

Overview[]

Biomes are types of caves that can be uncovered below Lightslate, and can contain many unique items.

While digging, there's a chance to stumble across a cave and this is indicated by a circular loading symbol. In the middle is a number which shows the size of the cave based on the amount of blocks it fills. The type of biome is chosen before it generates, and will vary based on the depth that the cave is found at. Once it has finished generating the block with the loading symbol will be removed and the cave will be free to explore.

When there are multiple biome types that are able to be generated at a certain depth, they are rolled in the order they appear in the index, with each roll having a chance of success equal to the biome's rarity. If a biome fails on its roll, the next biome available at it's depth will roll, and the process repeats until the roll succeeds.

In addition to their rarity, most special biomes require the player to be at least a certain XP level for them to spawn. This can be viewed from the index.

The Navigator enchant increases the chances of every special biome by 2 per book level (for example, 1/25 is reduced to 1/23) down to a minimum of a 1/2 chance, as long as the cave is found while mining with the enchant.

Biome Types[]

Each biome has its own specifications which are listed below, along with links to their own pages. The biomes roll from the top of the list to the bottom.

Limited Biomes[]

Name Depth Range Rarity Description
Corrupted Stud Biome 45m to 1,000m 1 in 5 chance when a cave is generated. Has studrock randomly distributed across its surface, along with various sparkle ores. Unlike most other biomes, this biome takes over only ~1/3 of the actual cave.

Biome Rolling[]

When a cave is generated at a depth that overlaps with multiple biome depth ranges, the actual chance of getting a particular biome depends on its roll order and roll chance. Since biomes are rolled in an order, the actual chance of getting any biome that isn't rolled first is lowered since all the previous biomes need to fail their rolls as a prerequisite. Biomes are rolled in the order they appear in the index .

Below is a table with arbitrary special biomes listed in their roll order from left to right as an example.
