Overview[]
Lightslate is the very first Layer Block you will encounter, and makes up most of the lightslate layer. It takes on the appearance of a grey block with a slightly rough stone texture. Like other Layer Blocks, its icon is a cube, this time being light greyish. The lightslate layer is surrounded by indestructable dark, slate blocks, meaning that there is a limited amount of lightslate in every mine. The layout for the lightslate layer is a 23x23 square.
Trivia[]
- After crafting the Copper Pickaxe in the tutorial, you automatically gain 10 Lightslate. You are then required to sell this Lightslate, although selling it does not remove it from your inventory.
- Lightslate is not a rock in real life, instead being a company that sells a water-resistant, flexible and light slate sheet. The product has the same name as the company.
- Lightslate is also an ore in Oaklands, which is a possible inspiration for this block.
